Visakhapatnam Port Authority- administrative building

Outlook Designheed was entrusted with redefining the administrative building for the Visakhapatnam Port Authority, integrating modern design with coastal functionality. The exterior features a full-glass façade crafted using Low-E, self-cleaning glass that minimizes heat gain and maintenance, while UV-patterned and fritted treatments ensure bird safety. Structural finesse was achieved using slim-profile aluminum mullions and curtain wall systems for a seamless look.

 

Inside, we adopted a contemporary interior theme. Fluted panels, stone veneer highlights, and texture paints in calming neutrals create a sophisticated atmosphere. Lighting was layered with recessed LED strips and floating ceilings for depth and warmth. The open-plan layout, enhanced by glass partitions and sleek, modular furniture, supports efficient zoning and collaboration.

 

Sustainability was central—indoor planters, vertical gardens, and tranquil water features promote wellness, while smart HVAC systems, automated blinds, and double-glazed glass optimize energy performance, aligning the design with the port’s operational excellence and environmental vision.
