Visakhapatnam Port Authority DCI- building

Outlook Designheed was commissioned to design a comprehensive set of buildings for the Vishakhapatnam Port Authority, including the Admin Block, DCI Block, Rear DCI, and multiple ancillary structures. The design strongly emphasises operational functionality, structural durability, and visual coherence across the campus.

 

A full-glass façade system using low-emissivity, self-cleaning glass ensures minimal maintenance, reduced heat gain, and bird safety, thanks to UV-patterned treatments. Slim-profile mullions and curtain wall systems provide a seamless and sleek modern exterior.

 

Internally, we implemented a clean, contemporary theme with fluted panel accents, stone veneers, neutral texture paints, and floating ceilings enhanced by ambient cove lighting. Modular, minimalist furniture and glass partitions ensure workspace clarity and flexibility.

 

Sustainability played a key role—green elements like indoor planters, vertical gardens, and water features improve well-being, while innovative HVAC systems and insulated glazing enhance energy performance. The result is a modern, efficient, and unified port infrastructure.
