Chennai Port Trust Chennai -Terminal

Outlook Designheed was entrusted with the architectural and interior design of the Chennai Port Trust terminal building. The Terminal building embraces a modern port architecture theme, combining sleek glass façades with robust steel structures to reflect maritime aesthetics. A large-span roof system enables efficient passenger and cargo movement, while glass panels and solar shading devices ensure natural illumination and thermal comfort.

 

The terminal’s layout optimizes functionality—ground floors house arrival and departure lounges, baggage areas, ticket counters, and immigration zones, while upper levels accommodate administrative offices, VIP lounges, dining areas, and duty-free shops. High-efficiency cargo zones were carefully planned to streamline port operations.
