Project Overview
The Renovation of the Rear DCI Building in Visakhapatnam Port Authority involved the renovation and modernization of the existing structure. It involved restoring the structural performance and making the building more functional and safe for its users.
The consultancy of Outlook Designheed Pvt. Ltd. included multi-disciplinary consultancy in civil engineering, architecture, HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, electrical, structural and retrofitting works. Furthermore, the design approach was one that would be compatible with the existing structure and service integration.
This was done using AutoCAD and STAAD Pro for documentation and structural analysis while HAP (Hourly Analysis Program) and AutoCAD MEP for coordination of MEP. Cost and quantity management were done using MS Excel while MS Project aided in project planning and implementation.
