Project Overview
Renovation and Development of Cruise Terminal and Seafarers Club House of Chennai Port Authority included the renovation and development of the facility to suit the requirements of maritime, passengers, and seafarers. The project involved Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, Electrical and LV systems, thus calling for proper coordination of the existing and proposed building components.
The project entailed translating the design intent to feasible and coordinated technical solutions that would take into account the constructability, strength, coordination of services, and functionality of the entire site.
The technical drawings and design documents were produced using AutoCAD software, while the structural systems were analyzed using STAAD Pro and ETABS software. MS Excel and MS Project helped in organizing the project information, scheduling, and coordination.
