Key Project Details

Project Overview

BIM, architectural designing, coordination, and construction drawings for the KVS Palassa school campus were carried out by Outlook Designheed Consultants Pvt. Ltd. This project involved following the design to development cycle that consisted of multiple iterations and approval cycles, tender documentation, and LOD 200 BIM modeling process.

Further with the advancement of the design towards construction, the BIM process evolved into LOD 450, GFC documentation and As-Built modeling to ensure successful onsite construction and facility management.

Project contractor coordination and project delivery processes were undertaken through the QCBS process, which ensures quality control of engineering and construction processes systematically. Drafting and visualization of designs were performed using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and 3ds Max software, whereas for structural coordination, STAAD Pro and ETABS were used.

Client’s Challenges

  • Handling continuous design iterations through client approvals.
  • Coordinating architectural and structural information effectively.
  • Managing BIM model transitions across various development stages.
  • Maintaining construction accuracy and documentation.
  • Establishing record-keeping systems for long-term building management.

Our Approach and Solution

  • Streamlined iterative design control through efficient BIM processes.
  • Integrated architectural and structural information for effective coordination.
  • Developed the LOD 200 model for project coordination.
  • Delivered LOD 450 GFC and As-Built models.
  • Utilized the QCBS method for effective contractor control.
